My favorite book so far is The Mailbox. I love the way the author brought all the characters together and how the story ended with Gabe being adopted and finding out that his Uncle Vernon was a hero. I love happy endings!

Just two more books to read from the VA Readers' Middle School List!!!
:-)
I have recently re-read The Mailbox, Hitler's Canary, and Black Duck with my eighth grade Brown Baggers and I find that I like them even better the second time around.

So far, though, I still THINK I like Blue the best. I give it two thumbs up! Be sure you have some tissues nearby because it makes you cry (sad AND happy tears)!
